Lavonia Police Foundation
Built a donation flow that lets Georgia residents redirect state tax dollars to the foundation. Stripe live, board CMS in PHP.
A foundation, a tax credit, and a board.
The Lavonia Police Foundation supports the people behind the badge in Lavonia, GA. They had a unique fundraising mechanism — Georgia's QLED tax credit lets residents redirect a portion of their state tax bill to qualified foundations. They needed an online donation flow that explained the program clearly and processed the donation.
They also needed an internal CMS for the board — a place to manage announcements, members, and documents without anyone touching code.
The handover, line by line.
- Public site at lavoniapolicefoundation.org. Marketing, mission, board, donation flow.
- Stripe-powered donations. Approved by Stripe for nonprofit processing. PayPal pending.
- QLED tax-credit explainer. A standalone page that walks a Georgia resident through the math and how to claim it.
- PHP board CMS. Custom admin panel for the board to update announcements, members, and documents. Hosted on the same droplet as the public site.
- Role-based access. Board members log in to manage their own areas without seeing everything.
Live since May 12, 2026.
The Foundation now has a donation flow that explains a complicated tax credit clearly, a board CMS the board can actually use without help, and infrastructure that won't disappear when the next vendor relationship ends.
Every dollar redirected through the QLED program is a dollar that otherwise went to state coffers. Now it goes to the people behind the badge.
“The tax-credit funnel did what it took us two years to figure out. People donate, the receipt sends itself, the board sees the totals on Monday morning.”
